The Canadian Research Insights Council (CRIC) is working with ESOMAR and Century Initiative to bring the Research Got Talent competition to Canada. Research Got Talent is a global competition that offers young researchers an opportunity to demonstrate how research can make a difference during these challenging times. Pioneered by associations in India and Hong Kong, this competition has seen tremendous success in showcasing the positive impact of the insights sector, and is now being implemented worldwide. This award competition, led by CRIC and ESOMAR encourages young researchers (18-35) to support charities/non-profit organisations to overcome relevant and pressing social issues.
For the inaugural Canadian Research Got Talent competition CRIC will be working with Century Initiative. Century Initiative is a registered Canadian charity focused on responsibly growing the population of Canada to 100 million by 2100, through coordinated policy solutions and action across the areas of early childhood support, immigration, urban development and entrepreneurship and education. For this inaugural initiative with CRIC and ESOMAR, Century Initiative is seeking additional research that will support the development of effective solutions to advance integration, innovation and entrepreneurship amongst Canada’s growing population. Proposals are due April 30, 2020 and the research is to be completed by July 31, 2020. View the Research Brief for more background and details.
The winner of the Canadian competition will receive a free entry pass to the ESOMAR Global Congress being held in Toronto from September 13-16 and will represent Canada in the ESOMAR Global Research Got Talent competition. Entering this competition will not only give you the chance to showcase your research in front of industry leaders at the ESOMAR Congress in Toronto but more importantly, allows you to make a meaningful difference within your community.
CRIC’s mandate is to develop and approve best practices and standards for market research, analytics and insights; provide effective promotion and advocacy of the industry; serve as a source of information and thought leadership; and be a forum for collective industry action.
ESOMAR is the global voice of the data analytics, research and insights community, speaking on behalf of over 6000 individual professionals and more than 600 companies who provide or commission data analytics and research in more than 130 countries, all of whom agree to uphold the ICC/ESOMAR International Code. The ICC/ESOMAR Code and all ESOMAR guidelines are available on www.esomar.org.
