Call for Participation: CRIC 2025 Webinar Series
The Canadian Research Insights Council (CRIC) is planning a series of webinars in 2025 to cover the latest innovations, trend and topics facing our industry. We encourage all CRIC members including clients, agencies and research technology companies to participate to showcase their experience and contribute to the advancement of the insights industry in Canada. Not a CRIC member, join CRIC today so that you can take advantage of this opportunity.
Priority Topics (we welcome proposals for webinars on other topics)
- Data Quality – What are the challenges to data quality and how are we managing them to ensure the highest quality data in both quantitative and qualitative research?
- Public Opinion Research and Polling: The next Canadian federal election will take place in 2025. How will public opinion research help inform voters of where Canadian stand on priority election topics?
- AI & Insights – How have advancements in generative AI, machine learning, and conversational AI enhanced how we collect and share insights. What are possibilities for the future?
- The Role of Research in Public Engagement – How does public opinion research support public engagement to ensure government leaders have the information they require to make important decisions?
- User and Customer Experience – How do insights enhance the user experience and amplify the voice of the customer?
- Innovations in Qualitative – What are the latest tools and techniques in techniques in qualitative research?
- Research that supports diversity and inclusion – How do we ensure that research is fully reflecting the diversity of our country? How do we engage groups that might be reluctant to participate in research?
- Research with Children and Youth – What are the best practice for conducing research with children and youth?
- Socializing Insights – What are the most effective ways to ensure stakeholders are using customer insights?
- ESG Measurement and Sustainability – How does research help companies make better decisions related to ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance)?
- ResTech – What are the breakthroughs in technology platforms that every insights professional should be aware of?
- Behavioural Insights – How do we ensure insights go beyond the rational to predict behaviour?
- ROI (Return on Insights) – What are the best practices for demonstrating the value of investing in insights?
- Privacy and Ethics – How are we continuing to uphold the highest standards of privacy and ethics in the era of AI?
Details
- Dates – webinars will be scheduled from late February to early December 2025.
- Format – webinars will start at 12:00 PM Eastern Time and will run from 30 to 60 minutes long including Q&A
- Audience: The webinar will be free to attend and will be promoted to the CRIC mailing list that includes both agencies and clients.
- Language: We welcome proposals for webinars in both English and/or French.
- Who can submit a proposal: We encourage submissions from all CRIC members including clients, agencies and research technology companies. Joint submissions are welcome. All agency and research technology presenters must be from a CRIC member company. Non-members are encouraged to have their company join CRIC to participate.
Submission Guideline
Submission Deadline: January 9, 2025 (submissions received by this date will be given priority)
Requirements:
- Webinar Title
- Please provide a captivating title that describes your presentation and that will encourage insights professionals to attend
- Description (100-300 words):
- Please provide 100-300 word description of your webinar that describes what you will present and why individuals should attend
- Presenters:
- Please provide the name, title and bio of all presenters.
Selection Process
- All submissions will be reviewed by the CRIC Communications Committee.
- Preference will be given to presentations that contribute to innovation, are supported by examples/case studies, include an end client as a presenter/co-presenter, and that provide actions that attendees can take.
- All those who submit a proposal by January 9 will be informed if they have been selected by the end of January 21, 2025 if they have been selected.
